Cantabria University » Spanish Language

Internationalisation is a priority for the University of Cantabria. Once of the activities offered in order to meet this objective is the organisation of Spanish courses and other initiatives which help to spread Spanish culture and language.

Through its Language Centre (CIUC), the University runs Spanish courses for foreigners during the summer and during the academic year. The different study programmes are organised into five levels: beginner, preintermediate, intermediate, advanced and superior. In order to distribute students correctly according to these levels, the first day of class consists of testing students to assess their knowledge of the language.

The number of students per class is limited (maximum 15 students) and the teaching staff is specialised. There are also intensive course, longer winter courses and Spanish language and culture courses, normally designed for specific groups.
