Jaume I University » Overview of the Institution

The Jaume I University of Castellón is a public university, created in 1991, with a smaller number of students, which allows personalised attention to be offered and prevents the university from becoming overcrowded. Its mission is the social, economic and cultural development of the surrounding through the creation and transmission of knowledge.
The Jaume I University is located on a single campus which allows for a close-knit community, and is perfectly connected to the city of Castellón and nearby towns. It also has centres in a number of locations in the provinces of Castellón: Morella, Vinaròs, Segorbe, Benicàssim and Vall d'Uixó.
As a modern university, it is proud to experiment with new forms of teaching, which are radically different from traditional methods found in other institutions. Teaching at Jaume I highlights the importance of communication and requires the involvement of all students.
