University of Huelva » Overview of the Institution

The University of Huelva was founded in 1993. It is situated in the province of Huelva, in the south west of Spain, nestling between the mountains and the sea in a historically multi-cultural area.

In little over a decade it has established itself as one of the most dynamic and fastest-growing universities in the country, and this increase in students is due to the high standard of teaching, the quality of infrastructure and services, and the wide variety of courses on offer.

As a public higher education service, the University of Huelva works to train students with a strongly committed staff and a strong background in research. Indeed, the close relationship between staff and students is one of the main features of the institution. Most classes are taught to small groups, allowing students easier access to teaching staff.

University life is a mix of study, research, sport and leisure. At the University of Huelva, training in new information technologies, languages, company work experience placements or mobility around other countries are the basis for all the courses on offer.
