Francisco de Vitoria University » Overview of the Institution

Universidad Francisco de VitoriaThe Francisco de Vitoria University began teaching in 1993, as a University centre associated to Madrid's Complutense University. Some years later, in 2001, it received official accreditation as a Private University. The institution forms part of an international university system which involves higher education institutions from North America, Europe and South America.

The UFV defines itself as a university of Catholic inspiration as "we base our educational model on values of Christian humanism", and they also present themselves as an institution open to all kinds of people and different forms of knowledge, emphasising new technologies. Finally, the international label is another adjective used to describe the University, as students are prepared for the globalised world in which we live.

One of the priorities of the centre is to focus each degree course towards the practical reality. In order to do this, they are in contact with over 400 companies and institutions operating in different sectors. In order to meet this objective, the University also offers students workshops, laboratories, television studios, simulation rooms, and all kinds of technical facilities to complement their theoretical training.

The courses on offer at the Francisco de Vitoria University covers both university education and postgraduate studies and refresher and specialist courses for graduates. There is also personalised training for companies, through the study programmes at the Institute for Integral Management Development (IDDI)
All courses lead to official qualifications (Undergraduate degrees, Diplomas, Engineering and Technical Engineering Qualifications, second degrees and dual qualifications) and these are complemented with the University's own internal specialist courses which are taught in collaboration with companies from different sectors.

The main address of the University is:
