Catholic University of Avila » Spanish Language

The University offers Spanish courses for students, organised by the Spanish Language and Culture Course Service. The programme is known as "Hispanic Studies Classes", and not only can students learn the language and improve their overall language skills, but they also have the opportunity to learn about the Spanish culture in-depth. There are also cultural and diverse leisure activities offered, both in Avila and other locations.

Students can enrol on courses in Spanish Language, Spanish Culture and Civilisation, and Business Spanish, among others. Spanish literature (both in the form of a general introduction and focussing on the figures of Santa Teresa de Jesús and San Juan de la Cruz) also has its place in the courses on offer. Almost all these courses are taught at different levels.

Students enrolled on these study programmes have access for accommodation in university halls, and sometime with host families.
