The Hispanic Studies Courses are devised especially for international students who join the university for a period of time and wish to improve their knowledge of Spanish language and culture. The study programme last approximately four months. Students can arrange their courses by choosing from a range of subjects, for example, Spanish Art, Composition, Spanish Literature, Colloquial Spanish and Business Spanish. Depending of their level of Spanish, student are placed in different teaching levels.
Erasmus students can register for especially designed Spanish courses. These courses last for 20 hours, and are divided into the different levels according to the European Common Framework of Reference for Languages, which range from basic level to advanced. Students who pass the final exam receive an accreditative diploma. It is important to register and meet application deadlines (application periods normally close prior to the start of the fourth month period during which the course takes place).
The University Language Centre also offers specific Spanish courses, personalised study programmes, intensive courses lasting for longer periods, course for preparing the DELE (Diploma in Spanish as a Foreign Language), conversation clubs and meetings in a number of languages, including Spanish.
