University of Barcelona » Spanish Language

The Hispanic Studies Department coordinates and organised Spanish courses for foreigners offered by the University of Barcelona. These courses (intensive, for obtaining the DELE Diploma in Spanish as a Foreign Language) can be combined with activities which strengthen the cultural immersion of students (cultural outings, for example). In addition to offering classes, the Hispanic Studies Department has an accommodation support service. Furthermore, students can use CAL (Self Teaching Language Service), where they can find both written and audiovisual teaching material for language studies.

Those interested can sign up for courses throughout the year. Courses are taught at the different Barcelona University campuses by specialised staff who also follow internal training schemes to maintain their high level. Erasmus students and those arriving through a bilateral agreement with another institution can study specific Spanish course run by the Hispanic Studies Department.
