Alcalá University » Spanish Language

Alcalingua is responsible for organising Spanish courses for overseas students at the University of Alcalá. There are a large number of courses on offer, which cover both standard teaching modules and specific courses (Business Spanish, Tourist Sector Spanish, preparation for DELE) in small groups and with a variable duration. The courses have tutoring services and are compatible with the University study programmes, using highly experienced teaching staff and internally developed didactic material at certain levels. There is also an option for signing up for on-line courses. Before a student is placed at a specific level (Beginner, Intermediate, Advances, Higher or Perfecting) a language test is completed to establish knowledge of the language.

In addition to language courses, Alcalingua organises a wide variety of artistic, sports, cultural and social activities (Flamencology Class, Music Classes, trekking, among others). Students are also permitted to use the University Library and take out special medical insurance, among other services.

Alcalingua has a number of facilities where courses are taught. In addition to the main facility at the St Patrick's College in Alcalá de Henares and the Trinitarias Descalzas convent in Madrid, there are facilities at the Casa de Doncel in Sigüenza (Guadalajara) and in Torremolinos (Málaga).
