University of Antonio Nebrija » Overview of the Institution

Universidad Antonio NebrijaAn institution "for higher education, lay and independent, with international projection and, at the same time, firmly committed to its natural economic and social setting". This is how the Antonio de Nebrija University defines itself. It is a private university which obtained official recognition in 1995. The institution takes its name from Antonio de Nebrija, one of the most important Spanish humanists and key exponent of university values, who dedicated his life to a number of universities until his death in 1522.

One of the key features of the Antonio de Nebrija University is its international projection. The institution works to allow students to spend part of their degree course abroad, and it is one of the universities with the greatest number of overseas students. There are a number of international programmes included among the courses on offer.

Another identifying feature is the search for quality and rigour in the education offered to students. A personalised approach, with emphasis on New Technologies, the completing of work experience in companies and the adaptation of study plans to the nature of the employment market.

The university facilities consist of two campuses: one in Madrid (the Dehesa de la Villa campus) and another in Hoyo del Manzanares (the La Berzosa campus). The first houses the Business School, the Hispanic Studies Centre, and the Senior Polytechnic School. The La Berzosa campus is home to the Faculty of Applied Languages and Humanities, the Faculty of Legal and Business Science, and the Faculty of Communication Sciences.
